The Pioneer Woman created a random post of 6 things...I thought I would try it...
Ready or not,
Here it comes.....
1) I do not love making lists unless I need to seize control of life or a situation. Then, I make lists - many, many lists.
Currently I have 3 lists made and one in the works. I am sure you deep, psychological types can shed some light on this particular illness. I will only give you the practical, logical reasons...
I leave for Michigan on Friday...eek...for two weeks...eek.
Here is where I need your help - On my general To Do list, this is seperate from my To Pack list, my To Buy list, and my School Work to Complete list, should I include make brownies? In this moment this seems to be very, very important to me...
2) Coffee always tastes better when Joshua makes it. I have done hundreds of taste-tests and I can unequivocally vouch for this fact. I am, after all, an impartial judge.
3) I am growing herbs. I secretly want to be a gardener. I want to grow veggies and compost and do all those fun earthy things. I am just not certain I have the follow through for these activities. I am actually quite pleased that my Basil, Mint, Chocolate Mind (yes, that is a REAL herb) Parsley, Rosemary, and Oregano are still alive. I have a knack for killing plants. It is something of a talent.
But, it seems super amazing to plant a little seed, nurture, care for it, and then have it be a bunch of spinach on your plate one night for dinner...or green beans....or zucchini...ooo perhaps I should put make zucchini bread on my list of things to do as well.
4) If I get the chance, I will stay in my p.j.'s all day long. There is something absolutely luxurious and magical about being in your p.j's all day. I love it.
Yoga clothes are the next best thing. Usually they are a better bet as once I am in them,I am more than likely to work out.
I don't know why that is...it is just one of those weird things. Workout clothes actually encourage me to work out. I can come up with 1001 excuses for not changing but if I am already changed then I usually go for it.
5) We are moving to Boston.
More on this later. In fact, Joshua is working on a post for our family blog. It should be up sometime between ten min from now and July...
6) It is crazy, amazing, and weird to me how many random, quirky habits I share with people I am related to.
My sister and I are the worst - we have the same hair in decision - we actually share this with our mother. There are some people who are brave and will just go out and see anyone to do their hair. Nope...not for us. Our person needs to come with a recommendation from someone we already know who has hair that we like. Then we usually try to talk the other into going to the new person first.
We both have bed issues...My bed has to be made. Every day. The right way. Poor sweet Joshua, he had to learn how to make the bed after we got married. The covers have to be straightened just the right way. The pillows have to be plumped the right way. There are some mornings that are so crazy that we end up leaving the house before the bed is made. I will, no lie, make-up my bed even if it is right before I am about to get into it that night.
OCD...yes...I have always been like this.
Just ask my mother.
ALN - she has to have her sheets match her pillow cases. They can not go on the bed unless they match exactly.
Also, I sit....well, I perch... on the bathroom counter to put on my make-up. I have as long as I can remember. I will also do this to brush my teeth. I can not quite explain to you how I do this. I just do. This particular habit drives Joshua nuts. If he comes into the bathroom he will fuss at me about this because he is certain this is dangerous. I thought I was alone in this habit until a couple of years ago, a cousin posted a picture on her blog in which she too was perched on the bathroom counter putting on her make-up. (She was pregnant at the time...so crazy props to her and her balance)
So...yes...that was a little taste of me - 6 random thing for a Wednesday morning.

You forgot to mention that I used to hyperventilate before getting my hair done. I've actually outgrown that. I'm much braver now.
And just incase you don't know, I am pretty sad you are moving away.
Oh wow, Boston! How long this time? I've only been there once, and only saw the "touristy" things, but it was very nice :)
I wish I shared the same OCD-ness about the bed. I love crawling into a tighly made bed, but that doesn't always happen. haha!
Haha! I am OCD about the bed being made too. My mom is even worse. My dad jokes that he's afraid she will make his half on him when he gets up in the night. So far she hasn't done that :o).
Blessings!
Deborah
